I am Paloma, a certified Advanced TESOL instructor who has taught hundreds of students to improve their English language skills.
I have a wide variety of interests and experience that help me connect with my students to help them in a practical and personal way.
My teaching style emphasizes natural and realistic conversation. This means you can take what you learn in class and immediately apply it. I use a wide variety of materials and methods, adapting each class to the immediate needs of each individual student or group.

I have fun learning and I want you to have fun too. My goal is for you to build the confidence you need to use what you've already learned and enjoy the process of developing and adding to that knowledge in each class.

General English
Conversations with a native speaker are the best way to improve your language skills. I enjoy helping my students to build both the confidence and the skills they need to feel comfortable conversing in English.

We'll discuss topics of interest to you and role play scenarios that apply to your life. In class, we'll use a variety of activities and materials designed to help you clarify your understanding of English grammar, build your vocabulary and master conversational English.

Individual classes are best for students who are looking to build the confidence to speak in front of others or who have very specific learning goals that require focused attention.

Group Classes
Group classes are the perfect opportunity to develop conversational skills that can be used in a variety of settings.

Classes focus on developing conversational ability while refining your understanding of grammar and building vocabulary.
​
For the most economical class option, gather a group of up to 5 friends and / or colleagues and sign up for group classes.
Group class hourly rates:
$10.00 per student for classes of 4 to 5 students

$15.00 per student for classes of 2 or 3 students
Business English
I have experience assisting international lawyers, regional and national sales directors, teachers and professors of various fields, software and mechanical engineers, medical professionals, and students from many other professions.
In addition to helping you prepare to interact effectively with English speaking clients or deliver presentations, business English classes will help students improve their reading and writing skills.

If you would like to edit documents such as sales reports or legal letters, we will discuss the reasoning behind my edits so that you really understand and improve your writing skills. My students who take advantage of this kind of lesson find that they improve quite rapidly.
